Draco, that's wonderful! Thank you so much, you have no idea what a big help you've been. I'm not sure what time of commission from the armoury you'd like...?
For the attention of High-Queen Solais, Her Most Fierce, the Radient, Sun of the Six Realms, Mother of Gold and my pledged Lady;
I write to you on behalf of myself and the possibility of the creation of family here in the Drabwurld, to create official ties to bind myself to the people I've chosen as my own - not through blood, but through love and companionship.
The first of two is Nico di Angelo, Marquis of the White Citadel and the Phantom Diviner, who has been my little brother in spirit, if not by blood and law, since a few months after my arrival in the Drabwurld. I'd never had a brother until I arrived here and I never thought I would have one, but then I met Nico. He was sweet, and charming, and brave, and I love him more than I can put into words. He's all the family I ever dreamed about having when I was a child and I would like for that to be made official here. To make Nico my brother, in the eyes of the entire Drabwurld, in the eyes of the law, too, would be one of the greatest gifts I could ever ask for.
The second is John Grimm. I know he is shardless now and I'm aware he's lost his Court titles, but that hasn't changed anything for me more than that I can't tease him about being a Knight. He has been one of the best and truest friends I have ever had and the closest thing to security I've had in this world. John has been at my side, supporting me and helping me, for two years, since the first month I was brought here, and he is everything that a father should be. If there is a way for me to be known as his daughter, to be known as John Grimm's child, by law even if it isn't by blood, then there's nothing that would make me happier.
If there is anything I need to do in return for these requests, any documents I need to sign or things I have to complete, please tell me and I'll gladly do it.
Yours, Hermione Jean Granger Marchioness of the White Citadel, Lioness of the Path
Marchioness Granger, Lioness of the Path and Sorceress of Caer Glaem;
Nothing could bring me more joy in these dark times than to know you have found a family. If the Marquis Nico and John Grimm (while he is no longer of the Seelie court, I would not deny your relationship) agree to the arrangement, then it shall be so; you will find certificates in your office at the Citadel. Simply sign both and have Nico sign one and John the other; my seal will appear afterward and bind them to you as family under Glaschu law.
Yours, The Bright Lady

Hermione. I found someone willing to help tutor. I can give you his details and you can check him, his references yourself if you'd like. I just wanted to let you know I managed it, your offer to pay them, provide resources helped.
[ Gabranth hasn't spoken with her since the silver curse, since his determination had begun to dwindle into listlessness. But, if he's to have any hope of recovering his willpower... ]
I'm told you require assistance with a matter regarding potions.
I have been given the task of aiding in the repairs to the White Citadel. While I am confident in my abilities and those of the builders my lord Lancelot has provided, I know very little of magic. As a Lady of the Citadel who, I understand, knows the magic that provides its protection, I hope you may guide me in improving the fortifications.
Of course! I would be more than happy to help you in any way that I can. I know my fair share of runes native to this world and I could help you learn some magic from my own, if you'd like that?
Just let me know a time and a place and I'll be happy to guide you.
Hey. I thought I'd let you know we got a few shrines for Kaio finished.
[Riku turns the locket so that she can see one of the completed shrines, then aims it downward, where his map has been marked with the locations of the shrines he and the others have built over the course of the month.]
Here's where we built each of them. Hopefully people will use them so that he gains the strength he needs.
[ She means it, too, her eyes brightening as she looks at the video. It's quick to make a note of where the shrines are before she turns back to the camera, pleased. ]
[ It is a smile which follows the bow of Ukitake's head (one offered both in greeting and a small show of his respect!), and for all that the transmission is over, well, a locket, it's quite easy to see that his demeanor is warm; to hear that his voice is kind: ]
Word has reached my ears that you are in need of an agent to conduct research on your behalf. If you will have it, I would be pleased to offer you my assistance with the matter. Before my arrival here, many of my days were given to research in the Great Spirit Library of my homeland, and I am certain that whatever cause it is you wish to investigate, I am well prepared for the task.
[ Ah, and one more thing...! ]
I'm Ukitake, by the way. Juushirou Ukitake, and I am ever at your service, Marchioness.
[ Well, this sounds very promising. Hermione brightens, nodding her head as she leans forward to look into her locket, looking over the newcomer. She's smiling, and she turns to grab a piece of paper. ]
That's right. The Tower of the Oracle has some information about Shards and Shardholders, the things we might be able to do with them and their histories. I would go myself, but I'm a little busy and things are just - well, I'm sure you can understand.
[ Maybe? She breathes out, though, and nods her head. ]
If you could make your way there and do some research I would really, really appreciate it.
[ This is only the second time she's done something like this, and the first time through the locket. Somehow doing it in person seemed so much easier, but she gives it her best smile when she tries to send it-- And hopes she got the right person. ]
Hello. Hey. --Hi
[ How many more variations can she go? She's already down to one syllable. But she plunges on like nothing's wrong, since at least one of her best traits is keeping cool after doing something silly.]
I'm Riley and I hope this is the right person. I haven't done this much, but I heard someone was looking for a person to talk to someone about Shards. I'd like to help, I'm good at talking to people.
[ Hermione is quick to reply, opening up her locket and peering into it with a smile. ]
Hi, Riley! Yes, that's me - I've been doing some research and I heard about a shardholder that might be able to help. Just a moment...
[ She moves, turning some papers, until she speaks again. ]
Her name is Atta, the Fire-Friend. She's been here a few years now and she's trained in shard use, a bit more than what we know already. I'd love it if you could go and talk to her and see what she knows? I have some magic fire for you to take as a gift to try and help, if that sounds alright?
[ The fact that communication via movers--live time movers is a thing is kind of wonderful and new to her. Asami attempted to try and recreate it herself after meddling with a locket, but alas. There's still a lot she has to learn about the world and she's lucky enough to have some friends who know to point her in the right direction.
Asami smiles congenially at the locket. ]
Hello. My name's Asami and you don't know me, but I know of you. [ Though, by the sounds it of it, a lot of people do around here. ] I'm a friend of Korra and Mako's. They said you're the person to talk to.
[ Hermione is quick to reply, a bright smile following when she realises that Asami is friends with the people that are practically family to her in this world. ]
Asami, hi! [ Her voice is fond already and she turns a little teasing. ] They're not telling awful stories about me, are they?
[ Hermione's voice comes - as usual, it's a little tired, but she's excited all the same. ]
Gabranth, thank you so much! You have no idea how helpful that is. I'm free for visitors most of the time, so whenever you have a spare moment is fine with me.
... Marchioness. If you would have the time and the funds to share, I am collecting donations for the people of Leathann. The money will be going to a good cause. Of course I'm willing to answer any questions about how it will be used.

Hey, Hermione, I've got a favor to ask. Dorian asked me to find someone for him, some dude who calls himself the "Man-Eater". Supposedly he knows some stuff about the Void that might be important.
Whoever he is, he's rumored to be a magician, so I figured it might be good to bring along someone who knows magic. I know you're busy, but if you've got time, I could use your help. And I'll make you anything you want in return after I get back to Troichean Beinn, I promise.
[ If it's for Dorian then Hermione knows she would help even if she hadn't been asked directly. There's something to be said for doing a job for one of her best friends, after all. ]
I can help you. If you're having trouble finding him I recently learned how to use a new kind of rune... Maybe that could help? And I can make sure he doesn't hurt you, too, if you're worried about that.
{OOC: I figured since I didn't get around to the log and I'm on hiatus, I'd put it in her IC inbox, if that's okay. ;;}
[Sup, Hermione, here's a face you probably can't forget, since he talked to you about baths, of all things, in the middle of a battlefield. He waves casually at her.]
Hello, Lady Lioness. [Joshua.] I heard you might have work suited to my talents, which include and certainly aren't limited to espionage, information digging, and other things that could fall under the words 'subtle' and or 'covert.'
[He's actually bothering to get to the point for once. It's like the world's ending or something!]
Hello! [ She remembers you, Joshua. ] Yes, there's... Do you know about the Gods of this world, how they have Avatars? Clarisse was one for Ridire, before they died? There's a god here that might know some things about shards and their magics and I was hoping someone might be able to track them down.
[ It's late afternoon, early evening by the time Asami decides to check in. She's compiled her notes in a satisfactory manner and is prepared to share them, although she's a little less eager than she had been when she first contacted Hermione. ]
Truth be told, this was dangerous. She didn't want to get anyone else involved in this but, well, Hermione had been here almost as long as Ariadne, hadn't she? Surely she knew someone. Of course, that was the whole reason why she was calling on the compass instead of the locket.]
Hermione? It's Merida. I need to ask you somethin'.
[ saying it's been a while is an understatement, but after losing clarisse, luke's been trying to keep himself together. rather than turn to self-destructive ways, he's actually been trying to not be reckless with his own life. he's taken on clarisse's role as a marquis of the white citadel with a pep to his step, even if his office is rundown with animals and mess. but he's been preoccupying himself on purpose with these affairs to keep his mind busy. if he doesn't think about clarisse, he doesn't need to acknowledge he feels alone. ]
[ and that loneliness has driven him to do something good for the seelie, even if it may lead to him burning his excess self-destructive energy off. ]
Brightest Witch of Her Age.
[ if anything, it's evident in the warmth of his voice that he's smiling. ]
[ his voice is quieter. ] I'm working on the acronym. [ then, it becomes louder. ] Look, I don't know what's compelling me to do this, but here I am. Guess I'm being responsible.
I'm going to go do something stupid. Yeah, when am I never not stupid? I know. But if anything happens ... Uh. You can have my book collection. Door's locked to Hades, but the foxes can help you get in.
[ The reply comes almost a week later, for a tired, harried sounding Hermione - but, more than that, she sounds stern and sure, her jaw tight before she forces herself to speak. ]
Luke Castellan, I swear, if you've --
[ She hisses out a little noise before she relaxes, calming herself down. ]
If you don't tell me you're alright this very second I am going to track you down and kill you myself.
Greetings, and my apologies for not talking to you through our lockets. I wished to converse through a letter as I'm not sure how secure the lockets are or if our High Queen can monitor them through her magic, and I don't wish to get anyone in trouble.
I've been assigned a task to research and compile information on shards, specifically on their activation. As you have been a wonderful teacher in that, I felt it best to ask you first. Is there anyone you can recommend to me for help in this manner? I will, of course, appreciate it if you have more information on the subject that you can tell me.
I apologise for how late the reply to your letter is; I was in an enchanted sleep and only woke up yesterday.
Those that I know that can give more information on Shards and their activation, at least those that are Seelie aligned, are the Shardholder Lancelot and the Shardholder Atta, also known as the Fire-Friend. Lancelot was my teacher and I'm sure he wouldn't mind helping you with any questions you might have.
There is also information in the library at Caer Glaem, and the libraries at the Tower of the Oracle in Leathann.
Shard activation can be done in many ways, depending on how a person learns and how they go on to teach their students. I'm sure that you'll find quite a lot of information - and if there's anything else I can do to help then, please, let me know.

That's right. The Natives need a little help and could use a hand making sure there's no more theft or banditry, and to make sure there's enough room and that there's not too much damage. Is that something you'd be interested in, Kenny?
Hey Hermione, it's Dick. I, uh. I guess you're busy? I've got some questions, but there's no rush. Just lemme know if-when you're free? I'd appreciate it.
