Hey, Hermione, I've got a favor to ask. Dorian asked me to find someone for him, some dude who calls himself the "Man-Eater". Supposedly he knows some stuff about the Void that might be important.
Whoever he is, he's rumored to be a magician, so I figured it might be good to bring along someone who knows magic. I know you're busy, but if you've got time, I could use your help. And I'll make you anything you want in return after I get back to Troichean Beinn, I promise.
[ If it's for Dorian then Hermione knows she would help even if she hadn't been asked directly. There's something to be said for doing a job for one of her best friends, after all. ]
I can help you. If you're having trouble finding him I recently learned how to use a new kind of rune... Maybe that could help? And I can make sure he doesn't hurt you, too, if you're worried about that.
That might help, yeah! Dorian said the guy might be hard to find, so we'll just have to worry about that first. No one here in Troichean Beinn seems to know anything about him. I was just going to ask around Caer Glaem, but if this rune of yours will do the trick, that's good enough for me.
I could ask a friend of mine that has some connections, if you'd like? He's friends with a lot of people over the Drabwurld, so I'm sure one of them will have heard of the "Man-Eater".
[ Friends is a much nicer way of saying "spies"... ]
No, that sounds perfect, Hermione. The only person I knew to ask was the spymaster, since I've talked to him before after all that stuff with the Oracle. [ Messy stuff. Leo hasn't gone back since, but who knows? Maybe he'll know something. ] I'll take any help we can get, especially if it'll give us a place to look.
Apparently he's worked with the Seelie court before, so I figure he's somewhere in Glaschu, at least. Probably not too close to the court itself, and I don't think a shardhunter would be welcome in the major cities, either, but I know that still leaves a lot of places to look in.
[ He hums to himself, considering the options. ]
Maybe we should start in the south. Not the elves' kingdom, but further. We pretty much have most of the north side mapped, plans and all, and I doubt he'd be about there after that whole desert thing happened.
No, you're probably right. If he was somewhere in the north of Glaschu then there's no way that the Citadel wouldn't have some kind of record of him, even with all the trouble that's been going on the last few months.
[ She taps her chin, humming herself before she huffs a noise. ]
I'll speak to my friends and then see what I can do with the runes, shall I?

I'll see what I can do. Do you have a place you'd like to meet, or somewhere you're planning to start your search?
