[ There is, in fact, a cat on the sofa, which makes Dick quite grateful for the warning as he sits down next to it. ]

So I've got something for you. Two things, actually. Well, one thing and one question.

[ Crookshanks stretches out, tail flicking, and he looks over at Dick for a moment. Blinking lazily, he just shifts and curls up in a ball again, ignoring the stranger.

Hermione just shakes her head, sitting opposite. ]

[ Dick leans forward a bit, lacing his fingers together where he rests them on his knees. ]

Last time, when Korra...opened the can of locket-worms. About the Seelie cause and stuff? She mentioned something about being able to buy a compass off of you. I'm under the impression they're more secure than the lockets...

[ Hermione tilts her head before she nods, once. ]

They are. They're mine, so I monitor them and I know what happens, but the monarchs can't see what's going on and I've made sure to put some extra protective magic on them. You can use them to access the network and avoid using your locket too, if you wanted.

Right, that makes sense.

[ He trusts Hermione much more than he trusts the monarchs, after all, and if someone has to be watching when he's talking to others, he'd rather it be her. ]

How much are they?

[ Hermione knows that her compasses are important to a lot of people; it means they can talk to Seelie and Unseelie alike without worrying about the repercussions. It's only if they want to use it for ill that she disconnects them and leaves the compass nothing more than a shell. ]

Just one gold coin.

[ He cuts himself off with a shake of his head, plucking a gold coin out of one of his pouches to offer over. ]

I'm not gonna lie and say I'm not grateful. Without an income, it's hard to spend gold.

[ Hermione shakes her head, taking it and putting it into her pocket. ]

The coin is just to buy the compasses, honestly. I can duplicate them, but I worry the magic won't work on duplicated metal as well as it does on the ones that I buy.

[ Getting up, she goes to her desk and bends down, pulling out a small charmed box. It opens with a touch of her finger to the lock and then she pulls out a compass, putting everything away before she walks over. ]

I can change the colour or engrave something, though?

[ Oh, that's-- That's a thought. ]

You can do that? Could you, uh. ...It wouldn't take too much effort? If not, I'd... Hm. Do you have a pen? It'll be easier if I draw it for you...

[ Both come flying over from her desk and she reaches out to pick them up, handing them both over. ]

I think I can make it work.

[ She takes the paper and puts both it and the compass on her lap before she pulls out her wand. It takes a little wave of her wand and a flick of her wrist, but burning the symbol onto the metal isn't too hard. When she's done she lifts it up, examining it, before she nods. ]

[ He could've gone with his own symbol, the R enclosed in a circle, but Kaldur tells him he'd left that name behind. But the thing is, whether or not he's Robin, he's always going to support Batman. The bat's the important symbol. It's a way of carrying a piece of home with him. ]
