... Marchioness. If you would have the time and the funds to share, I am collecting donations for the people of Leathann. The money will be going to a good cause. Of course I'm willing to answer any questions about how it will be used.

[He's not such a bad guy, is he?]

It is not a question of how much I need, but how much you would be willing to contribute. I'm in the process of setting up a small church with a shrine to Pol dedicated to the children. Whatever you would like to give would be appreciated.

[He knows Hermione would be able to transfer the resources quickly, which counts.]

There are children around, yes. I'm sure they would delight in gifts from the Marchioness.

[They come look at the non-smiling priest dude...]

[Kirei has a lot of things to sort out about Leathann. Her comment, that "making them like us a little more too", it highlights some difficulty for him.]

You have my gratitude. I can only hope it will lift the spirits of the people.

[And so:]

Miss Hermione, it may be disrespectful of me to take up even more of your time, but may I ask a question?

Your thoughtfulness knows no limits. [As for the question... Sorry, Hermione.]

I will state it clearly. I support the Seelie cause, and with it, the Void. Would the High-Queen look down on me for assisting the people of Leathann as I am?

[Yes. He is not intending to save Leathann, in the sense of preventing the Void from overtaking the island, if it does. That, Kirei has no confusion about whatsoever.]

Would she look at it as an act of betrayal, then, if I were to help some migrate overseas?

[This, he does. Even if he would never intend it as betrayal.]

[The death of the Drabwurld itself?

But Kirei is grateful, and satisfied by her answer.]

Very well. Thank you. I figured you had met and spoken with the High-Queen before. I will not move until I've spoken with High-Queen Solais myself, but I had been troubled with that concern.

Of course. The loss of the High-King was a great one. [He still doesn't know how to react to it, even now.] Thank you again, Miss Granger. I will look forward to receiving your donations. Take care.
