[ Indeed he can. She always seems to be smiling at him. He hopes it's not because she's laughing at him, in some way. Though he wouldn't put it past himself to have done something amusing. ]

[ Faolan lets out a long breath. ] How much have you heard of the Lucky Penny?

[ Hermione stares at the video feed, already wanting to reach out and take him into her arms, to try and comfort him. Something awful is settling in her stomach, like a heavy weight, and she has to force herself to breathe as she replies. ]

What do you need from me? Tell me exactly what I can do and I'll do it.

[ Faolan shakes his head before he realizes that she will not see it, with this transmission being voice only. ]

I do not know. I have so many charms and runes already. And yet I still fear that...

[ That he will not have enough. That he will die in that place, now when he has finally taken the step towards his heart's desire, and against all odds, was not pushed away. ]

[ She breathes out, sharp and sure, before she swallows, staring at the blank network. ]

Faolan. Will you - just... I'm going to help you. Whatever you need me to do, whatever charms I can offer, whatever it is that you have to do to fix this, just tell me. I'll go with you - I'll work with you.

No. Don't go with me, please. Stay here. Stay safe. It's bad enough...

[It's bad enough that he's drug Lancelot into his mess. He can't imagine sending him away though. Telling him to stay behind and walking off into his certain doom. Though he knows he might very well have to, on a descent into the vaults.]

I've got invisibility charms, charms to silence my footsteps, charms to unlock doors. I have your cloak from Yule, and I'm sure that Lancelot is working on acquiring other items. I don't know what else to ask for. I don't know...

[Who could possibly outsmart a creature like Management two times in a row? Certainly not Faolan himself.]

I'll put some more charms on the cloak, if you'll let me, and give you some potions. I have a little luck potion, but it's not nearly as powerful as it was at home... If I had tested Polyjuice I'd let you have that...

[ She hesitates, obviously nervous. ]

Will you try to be safe, too?

[He nods, slightly, even though she can't see it, before he speaks up again.]

As safe as one can be, when journeying into the mouth of the beast...

[It's not exactly comforting, he knows. But it's the truth.]

[ As in; how about you don't go, Faolan? She knows that isn't an option, though. ]

[Faolan lets out a short laugh, and the sound is more than slightly bitter. She's not the only one who wishes such things for him. He seems to have a talent for getting into trouble, however. He doesn't elaborate on that thought, though. After a moment he simply speaks up to say:]

Yeah. I'll let you know.

Thank you, Hermione. I'll make certain to pay you back somehow, someday. [Assuming he survives this, that is.]
