This might seem like something of an odd request, but I would appreciate it if it were possible for you to authorize me for an investigation into the murders of elven artisans and musicians at Parrais' Ostara Festival. Assisting me would be Aveline Hadyr, another Seelie shardbearer from my own world. Of course, any and all information that we uncover would be shared both with the local authorities, and yourself.

Given your position as Marchioness, it would well be within your power to authorize this investigation. However, if you feel uncomfortable with the request, I do understand.

Of course I will authorise it. I'll pass on the information to my fellow Marquis and make sure they're aware, but you have the official backing of me and my station.

I would also suggest that you get in contact with my second, Anne, if you can. She's spent quite a lot of time in the area of Parris and she might be able to offer more advice and support than I will, considering my lack of information.

I should also warn you that I may need to speak with Unseelie, depending on how the investigation goes. Actually, I should probably make it clear that I believe the key to solving these murders may very well lie in subtle cross-court cooperation. Lord El-Melloi was equally worried about these murders, and I believe that his connections in the Unseelie court may prove useful, depending on what we learn.

Let me tell you now that I have no issue with you discussing matters with anyone of the other court that you feel might be able to help us. I know my position says otherwise, Cullen, but I've got friends over there too. I want to make this place, this world, as peaceful as possible.

Lord El-Melloi is a good friend of mine and you might find his assistance all the more beneficial if you tell him that you have my backing. Bribe him with tea, if you think that might work, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing it of his own free will. Tell him I said hello all the same!

I'm glad we're in agreement, Hermione. Sadly, there seem to be far too many on both sides that don't share in our beliefs. And while I think Lord El-Melloi seems like the type that would be thrilled to help, I'll keep that in mind.
