[ And, with her eyes closing, she starts to curl forward - and as she does she transforms, turning into a large, white lioness, her own wings flexing. ]

[ he doesn't scream - his eyes go wide and bright, his mouth parting in unabashed awe. it's the sort of childish delight you'd find in someone witnessing something from a dream, and with how impossible the last month of being here has been, it's not too far off. ]

[ a thought occurs to him, and if it's possible, he perks up even more. ]

[ At first, all she does is lift a large paw to cover her face, hiding from the compliment for a long moment - but, soon enough, Hermione almost preens under the praise, lifting her head and trotting forward a few steps to nudge at the locket with her nose before she moves around, circling, her wings flicking out as she stretches them.

The idea of flying isn't new, of course, but she hasn't actually made a valiant effort yet. Instead, she pauses, tilting and huffing out a noise.

No, she hadn't, but she would like to, especially if she's going to get more and more used to this form. ]

[ wow, not who's being inappropriately adorable. sam watches her with wonder, shaking his head with another muttered damn. that is awesome. ridiculous, but mostly awesome. ]

Yeah, I haven't figured that one out yet either. My bones ain't exactly hollow, last I checked, so.

You wanna test it out together? I've got enough faith in you to take a leap of faith or two.

[ She makes a soft noise, leaning up and pressing her nose onto the camera before she turns around. A spin later and she's twisting, standing up and transforming back to herself. She shifts, unsteady on her feet, shaking her head before she beams. ]

We can definitely figure it out together. I've never flown by myself before, not without a Thestral or a broom, so...

[ She picks up the locket again, settling down and crossing her legs. ]

I'm not really a good flier, though. I might not be the best partner.

[ he does try not to oggle as she transforms again, but. well. ]

You kidding me? I told you firsts were important. There's no one I'd pick to partner up with for this before you. We're gonna be awesome.

Then we'll do it together. All you have to do is pick a time and a place.

If you aren't too busy for a little traveling, me and Steve are holed up at the Station for now. We could meet up here, wander to find somewhere we won't be judged by our friendly observers.

I think I should be okay to pop over to the Station. I've got a quest to do, but after that I'll be all yours.

[ She has no idea who he has in mind, but at least she's smiling. ]
