I had an idea that the elves lived long and, well, they sort of look like us but they're really, really not. I also think they're used to a very different sort of witch and wizard.

[ Whenever he's mentioned that he's a wizard, they get this odd look. ]

But you all get along?

[ That's the important part, he things. Harry isn't too sure how he feels about the majority of the Unseelie. He has his friends and allies, but he wouldn't call any of them family. ]

[ Harry almost wants to tell her that he's getting his own exercise learning to spar, but he holds his tongue. Would it really be helpful to know that he's fighting? Even if it's not really all that dangerous? Probably not, no. ]

It's curious, there's no one at my court I'd consider family. I've met John, and I don't know, maybe it's my own inexperience, but he's more a soldier, someone to share a drink and a bad meal with, than a 'dad'. Does that make any sense?

[ Harry leans against her side for a moment, bumping their shoulders together. ]

Sorry you had to cry, but I'm glad there was someone there for you.

I've done, too.

[ All over the Brucolac. So that's a thing that happened. ]

C'mon, happier thoughts for both of us. Have you sorted out what you're doing during Samhain?

He'd be a fool not to.

[ And that's the truth. ]

You could always ask him, if you wanted?

If you want, I mean. If not, well, I trust that you'll do what you know will make you happiest.

[ He does, too. ]

I bet you could train the fairies to carry a flashing sign for you. I don't think the imps'll do it, but you could give it a go.

[ Harry wraps his arm around her. He's offering the most helpful suggestions and she should be proud! ]

See? I knew you'd come up with something. You always have the best ideas.

[ ...provided she doesn't turn her great and terrifying powers on getting him a date. ]

You say that now, but wait until you see what I've put together.

[ ...oh good. That's reassuring. ]
