Tell me you haven't touched those stupid crates.

Of course I haven't. I know better than to go around touching things that aren't mine, especially in a new place. I wish I could say the same for my new crew...

Thank god someone's sensible. My own crew is the same-- I mean, it's not that difficult, is it, to think perhaps I oughtn't touch a mysterious crate because my hand might blow off, but here we both are.

I don't really know anyone on my ship, not yet, but you would think some of them would have some kind of common sense. I understand all of them have been here longer than I have but surely something should tell them that we shouldn't go around poking things that appear randomly on the ships? It can't just be us.

Apparently it is! Apparently we're the only two who have an ounce of self-preservation-- and honestly, I'd leave them to it, except god forbid they blow up the stupid ship and we're all sucked out into space.

Maybe that's why we're here - to stop the entire world from exploding from the inside out. A little common sense does seem to go a long way. I'd like to think that I could prevent any explosions. I don't think I'd enjoy being sucked into space all that much, not even with a bit of magic to help me.

I don't even know what spell I'd use. Some sort of Bubble-Head Charm, I suppose.

[He exhales irritably on his side, and adds:]

What's your crew like, anyway, do you know anything about them beyond vaguely nic and too inquisitive?

That would give us air, I suppose, but I'm sure the space atmosphere would have something to say about the rest of our bodies.

I've only spoken to two of them, really, and they seem quite nice and friendly. It's not home but I can make it work.

That's good. I've found them most of the people here nice, to be honest-- friendly and more than willing to put up with personal issues. They're all very . . . accepting of the werewolf issue, too. Which I was surprised at.

Well, that's because there's nothing wrong with being a werewolf. I can't imagine why they wouldn't accept you at all - it seems silly, really, when we're all in space and there are a dozen or so other things to be concerned about.
