[Dorian is slightly confused about why someone would put a communication on a tag for their dog, or why Hermione is wearing dog tags either. He brushes past it, however, as he is more interested in how they'll develop this.]

Oh, yes! Word of mouth will no doubt spread it far. [Curiously, he has to ask:] Will you give such devices to natives, should they ask it? Others outside the court?

[When she smiles like that, he can do nothing but laugh in return.]

It will be interesting to see who comes to acquire them. [He offers her a smile.] And I may need to be your first customer.

Oh! Can I make them too, not just the potions? Will you show me now?

[Like a puppy who sees another dog across the street, Dorian has no sense of a leash.]

If it would please you, Miss Granger—Hermione!—I would be most grateful.

[Excuse him as he shuffles his chair an inch closer to her. His over-courteous language makes up for his lack of manners in movement, right?

Ah . . . [Dorian looks himself over. Pats his neck? No, no necklace. What about his rings? No, none of them have a flat metal surface. Uhhh...]

The only thing I would seem to have is my sword.

[Which seems awkward.]

[Dorian looks the compass over, turning it this way and that. The look of it will surely serve, something he can wear and hide away, if he needs to. So he offers her a brief nod and sets it back before them.]

[And then—] Shall I call you Professor Granger now?
