citadel rooms.

offices ; the white citadel, glaschu.
( the offices and residence of hermione granger, marchioness of the citadel. )

After gaining her position as one of the five leaders of the White Citadel in 2701 she was granted rooms and residence inside the Citadel itself. With an office and a bedroom to the side, the rooms are spacious and well-kept, guarded at all times by a pair of well meaning men that bar entry to anyone other than those that Hermione herself has agreed to allow to visit (a result of an assassination attempt).

The office is the larger of the two rooms, with a spacious desk for Hermione to do her work, set with boxes for her notes, ink pots, quills, books and parchment for her use. This is where she can usually be found should someone visit, at least until she makes her way over to the lounge area of the offices.

While the office portion of the room is intended to be professional, a place for her to work and study without being distracted, the lounge section is a little more comfortable. A red sofa sits, decorated with warm, comfortable cushions opposite a fireplace. At the side, with a table in the middle, are a matching pair of large fluffy armchairs. Below them rests a blood red carpet, purchased at the markets in the Cothromach, and there is always a handsome, well made teaset resting on the table with a drink ready to pour.

If anyone does visit, the first seat they will be offered is the sofa - to themselves, unless they're someone Hermione knows and is close with, in which case she will move to sit with them. Sometimes, during the day, Hermione can be found dozing on the sofa, draped in a light blanket, either thanks to a guard or her friend and ally from Treun, Galan. When she's not in her lounge she'll likely be found in her room.

Above the fireplace is a tapestry of a lioness running rampant, restitched so that the lion shares the same scar that Hermione has in her animal form. It's not a large thing, but it's grand enough to attract attention as soon as someone walks into the room. Below that lays a silver lance, a stunning thing that prickles with magic, decorated with silver ribbons along the hilt. The windows are decorated with thick curtains, as red as everything else in the room, ready to be replaced with a lighter pair when the weather gets warmer and necessity requires a change.

For the most part, the office is a formal space - and the bedroom is her quiet sanctuary.

Hermione's bedroom is low-key and comfortable compared to the richly decorated office she spends her time working in, with a door protected with runes so that only she can open it. The bed is a grand, king-sized thing with four posters, as befitting a woman of her station, with a series of blankets and duvets to keep her warm and comfortable. Decorated in reds and golds, the room harks of her Gryffindor heritage.

Opposite of the bed is her bookshelves and window seat; here she keeps the notes, books and papers that people have given her as gifts and things she has taken from the library. She can spend hours here reading and studying, taking notes on runes and making sure she's entirely prepared for the world ahead, making sure that she has all that she needs.
