Dorian falls to the ground and then there's a foot on his hand, a scream in his head—his scream, he's screaming. He is screaming because someone has crushed his sword hand. The pain remains but the pressure is gone. The footsteps have moved on.
They've stopped in front of Hermione. And that is Dorian's sword in their hand.
"Marchioness Granger." It's a woman's voice, deep, trembling with barely restrained anger. Dorian tries to push himself to his feet, feels the pressure of pain up his hand, gasps and stops half-sitting up. "It isn't so easy to crush is when your magic is blocked, is it?"
