artefacta ; business post

ARTEFACTA. lit. things made by skill.
Artefacta is the joint business of Hermione Granger and Dorian Gray, established in May 2101 on the Drabworld calendar and February 2015 on the out of game calendar. Coming together with a shared love of magic, study and research, Dorian and Hermione hope to offer the Drabwurld a range of magical items to both help and aid the people around them in return for money or items of worth/trade. There is no need to ICly request most of these items, but please do fill out the form if you intend to purchase and use a compass! All things on offer are available for people outside of their court (Seelie) but it will be harder for characters to obtain ICly! As of May, 2702, Hermione will no longer be actively selling to Unseelie shardholders!
network devices.
Capable of being used as two-way communication devices, that can also be used to access the ingame Drabwurld network, Hermione is capable of creating and securing communication devices. She can make anything into a tool as long as it has a smooth, flat surface for videos; the downside is that the security of the networks themselves were, at least originally, an issue, but Hermione has been researching the means to overcome this.  Each device will cost around one gold piece (to pay for materials and the work cost) but can be traded for something if money is a problem. Note: during time-skips any devices Hermione has made will still be active and entirely useable, no matter what the status of the ingame network.
runes and warding.
Protective runes vary from basic stones capable of taking approximately 3G of violence force in place of the bearer to more advanced protective charms, based primarily on the strength of the object to which the damage is being transferred. Wardings can be done of particular locations, specialized on a case-by-case basis and set on a higher cost. Special works of transference magic may also be commissioned, including the transference of energy. Dorian will decline any buyer if he suspects they will use his work for harm, unless he trusts the individual involved to only do good with it.
potioneering.
Thanks to school training in her world, Hermione is capable of brewing potions that have magical effects and can help and heal characters. These potions have been on offer since the game began and are well known around the Drabworld. Now on sale, most anyone can buy or trade for these potions without having to ask OOCly - unless the potion has a star (✮), which would require a large about of IC trust and discussion and a mod roll. Potions run at a low cost (a silver for the cheapest, running up to gold pieces for the significant potions) but if a customer offers ingredients in return for a potion they will get their potion for free!
item enchantments.
Hermione has been practising and working on a means of offering more protection to those who ask for it and this comes hand in hand with runes and enchantments in the form of cloaks. At the moment, Hermione can enchant any cloak (either one a character already owns or one they can purchase from Artefacta) with one of a series of enchantments. As these are quite easy spells, the cost is very low and she can do it rather quickly for anyone that has a need!
